STUDENT TIME MANAGEMENT IN PESANTREN : A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF 10 PESANTREN IN INDONESIA

Manajemen waktu merupakan aspek krusial dalam pendidikan berasrama, penelitian ini menganalisis pola pengelolaan waktu santri berdasarkan dokumen jadwal harian dari sepuluh pesantren di Indonesia untuk menafsirkan implikasinya terhadap efektivitas manajemen pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan distribusi waktu antar kategori aktivitas dan mengidentifikasi karakteristik manajerial yang muncul. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi dokumen: dokumen jadwal dikumpulkan secara purposif dari laman resmi/publikasi pesantren pada Oktober 2025, dicoding ke lima kategori (ibadah, pembelajaran diniyyah, pendidikan formal, istirahat, kegiatan penunjang), ditabulasi untuk menghitung rata-rata dan rentang, lalu diinterpretasi secara tematik. Hasil menunjukkan alokasi rata-rata per hari: istirahat 9,57 ± 1,13 jam; pembelajaran diniyyah 4,78 ± 2,61 jam; ibadah 4,47 ± 1,95 jam; pendidikan formal 4,07 ± 1,45 jam; kegiatan penunjang/asrama 1,32 ± 0,56 jam. Terdapat heterogenitas antar-pesantren pesantren tahfîdz memberi porsi hafalan lebih besar, pesantren modern menambah kegiatan nonformal dan dua pola operasional dominan (jadwal padat vs. jadwal fleksibel). Temuan menegaskan perlunya perencanaan berbasis blok waktu, pengorganisasian dan pengawasan kualitas tidur serta monitoring capaian sebagai strategi manajerial untuk menyeimbangkan tujuan spiritual, akademik, dan kesejahteraan santri. Penelitian ini menyumbang bukti empiris bagi pengembangan sistem pengelolaan waktu pesantren.
