Ishlah Resolution Refers to the Period of 'Iddah Perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali

Abstract

There are still many families who are unable to realize a life that is sakinah, mawaddah, and warahmah due to various factors. This shows that family life does not always run smoothly without obstacles, and divorce often occurs. Ishlah reconciliation is a resolution that can be taken by married couples who have been divorced by one or two divorces. This research is a qualitative research by conducting empirical research in Tegal, Central Java. For data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, FGD, and documentation. data analysis was carried out using an interactive model by applying three steps, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. In the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali, the following steps need to be taken in the ishlah of reconciliation during the ‘iddah period: Correcting mistakes and problems that exist between husband and wife through good deliberation and communication, forgiving mistakes and opening each other's hearts, solving problems by good and peaceful, promising not to repeat mistakes in the future,  and upholding Allah's laws and maintaining moral values ​​in the household is an important duty for every Muslim family.
